We chose to go with the Berkshire/Mangalista/Mulefoot breed for our pigs. Berkshire/Mangalista/Mulefoot pigs are know to have a high depth of flavor more than any other breed. It is known for their deep red meat, very much like a steak but at a better price point, of course. Made popular in Japan, Kurobuta or "Black Pig", has been a well-kept culinary secret. We keep their home carpeted with the best green pastures including a heavy duty shelter with fluffy straw bedding. We believe there is a positive mental aspect to allowing animals freely range on pasture, that can only be achieve this through a small dairy farm. We have the happiest big mamas who drink our A2 fresh milk every morning and every night. The A2 milk intensifies our marbling throughout our pork line along with a high quality corn finish. You will not get this type of pork anywhere else!
